By David Hunter Palmanova – Cividale del Friuli 170km Friday the 13th! This is the first of three huge days in the mountains.
By David Hunter Noale – Bibione 182km The last sprint for some of the bunch. It’s safe to say that Greipel and Ewan will be leaving the Giro after this stage. It represents one more chance at a stage win.
By David Hunter Modena – Asolo 227km Another long day in the saddle. The end of the stage is much harder than the profile suggest.
By David Hunter Campi Bisenzio – Sestola 219km The 2nd week begins. A tough day after a rest day is always difficult for the riders. No one is 100% sure how they’ll react, so quite a lot of riders will feel nervous about this stage.
By David Hunter Chianti 40.5km ITT A typically Italian TT. With the rest day following, some of the riders might reward themselves with a glass of the local wine. They’ll have earned it!
By David Hunter Before I get started I have a confession to make, I’m not the biggest fan of cycling in America. The long straight roads are mind numbing and the racing is often poor as well. Hopefully, the Tour of California, can make me eat my words! Stage 1
By David Hunter Foligno – Arezzo 186km Strade Bianche style! This has to be the stage I am looking forward to the most.
By David Hunter Sulmona – Foligno 211km Anyone tired yet? Another long stage, as the riders head up to Foligno.
