By David Hunter Colunga – Peña Cabarga 168.6km The day after the rest day. Riders are always worried about how their legs respond after a rest day. Considering the finish that is ahead of them, they will be more worried than usual.

By David Hunter Lugones – Lagos de Covadonga 188.7km The day before the rest day. This will be a hugely significant day, in the 2016 Vuelta.

By David Hunter Cistierna – Alto del Naranco 164.5km The tough weekend continues, with this fascinating stage. There are no big mountains, but it’s still a demanding day in the saddle.

By David Hunter Villalpando – La Camperona 181.5km This climb featured back in 2014, with Ryder Hesjedal taking a famous victory. I’m delighted to see it back, I’m not so sure about the riders.

By David Hunter Maceda – Puebla de Sanabria 158.5km Yet another tough day in the saddle. The peloton will be delighted to get out of Galicia.

By David Hunter Monforte de Lemos – Luintra. Ribeira Sacra 163.2km Another stage with nearly 3000m of climbing, it’s not getting any easier!
