They seem to have been successful and have the usual mix of climbers, sprinters and classics specialists. This race does have something for everyone. Route Stage 1
By David Hunter Al Sawadi Beach – Naseem Park 176.5km The race begins with a day for the sprinters. This is an easy day in the saddle for the peloton, a nice start to the week.
By David Hunter After the sprinters had their fun in the Dubai Tour, it’s the turn of the climbers and classics specialists in Oman. Vincenzo Nibali won in 2016, but he’s not back to defend his title. With no Chris Froome either, it looks like we’ll get a new winner of the trophy. Route Stage 1
By David Hunter Paterna – Valencia 130.2km The final stage is no procession for the peloton. This is the same stage as 2016, where Stijn Vandenbergh managed to hold off the sprinters.
